A great headshot enhances your professional presence. Whether for LinkedIn, corporate websites, or personal branding, follow this checklist to look and feel your best on camera.

1. Skincare & Makeup

Moisturize and apply a light foundation or BB cream for an even complexion.

Use matte powder without SPF to reduce shine.

Stick with natural, well-blended makeup—avoid heavy contouring.

Define your brows and wear neutral eyeshadow shades.

Wear soft, natural lipstick (avoid overly glossy finishes).
Bring touch-up makeup with you.

2. Hair Preparation

Have your hair styled naturally—avoid extreme styles or major color changes right before the shoot.

Keep hair frizz-free with light styling products.

Bring a brush, hairspray, or touch-up tools for quick adjustments.

3. Outfit Selection

Choose solid colors that complement your skin tone (jewel tones, navy, gray, earth tones).

Avoid loud patterns, neon colors, or busy textures.

If wearing a blazer, ensure a proper fit—structured shoulders look polished.

Layering (e.g., a blouse under a blazer) adds depth to your look.

Bring two or more outfit options to the session.

Ensure your clothing is free of stains or tears and bring your outfit choice(s) pressed and hanging on a hanger in your vehicle so that you only have to wear them just before the picture is taken.

4. Jewelry & Accessories

Keep jewelry minimal and professional—small studs or a simple necklace.

Avoid oversized earrings or chunky accessories that may distract.

5. Rest & Hydration

Get plenty of sleep the night before for fresh-looking skin.

Drink water to keep your skin hydrated.

Avoid heavy alcohol, sodas or salty foods, which can cause puffiness.

6. During the Session

Relax and listen to your photographer’s guidance for angles and positioning. We’ll make certain you look your best!

With the right preparation, your headshot will showcase confidence and professionalism.
